How to apply

How to apply for entry into the Bachelor of Veterinary Science will vary depending on student type. Please refer to "What type of student am I?" to ensure the correct student type is chosen:

Australian students:

Standard (February) entry

The normal method of application for local applicants who have not completed any tertiary study is to apply through the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC). Full details regarding the VTAC application process may be found on the VTAC website or by purchasing the VTAC Guide from a newsagent.

Applying for Direct Entry into the Bachelor of Veterinary Science

This information relates to local applicants who are non-school leavers and have completed some tertiary study and wish to apply for direct entry to the BVSc.

Online application forms will be available on our website some time in August. The closing date for applications is usually the the last Friday in September. Please watch this space for further information.

When making an application, you will need to indicate the courses and the types of fee enrolments for which you wish to be considered. There are two fee type options – Commonwealth supported place and Australian fee place. See University of Melbourne tuition fees for more information regarding enrolment options.

International students:
