
Captain John Black Leitch, Australian Army Veterinary Corps, was in the first group of students to complete the full course at the Melbourne Veterinary College and graduate in 1891. As a student he won the S.S. Cameron Prize for Anatomy. He lived at the College and assisted in the routine work. He was listed as a member of the Australian Veterinary Association from 1934-1950, living in Irymple, Victoria. He served on the Veterinary Board of Victoria from 1909-1912.
