Captain John Arthur Rudd, Australian Army Veterinary Corps (11 November, 1914 - 10 January, 1919) spent most or all of the post-war years as a veterinary officer in the Queensland Department of Agriculture and Stock. Eventually he was appointed Director of the Animal Health Station at Yeeronpilly, Queensland. He retired about 1940 or 1941 and was succeeded by Dr. John Legg. In the obituary written by Dr. Legg, it was said that Rudd was skilled at handling horses and breeding ponies.
