
Captain Albert Charles Wilson, Australian Army Veterinary Corps (24 July, 1916 - completion date unknown), served in France and Belgium with the 1st Australian Division and was a Lieutenant Veterinary Officer, Australian Commonwealth Horse, in the Boer War. Albert went to school at Brighton Grammar and married Clara Caroline Carbine after serving in the Boer War as Captain in the Australian Army Veterinary corps. There was one son, Roy. He was registered with the Veterinary Board of Victoria on 19 March, 1902. As a veterinary surgeon, horses were Albert’s specialty. In 1957, he was made a life member of the Berwick and District Agriculture and Horticulture Society in recognition of many years service as the Society’s Honorary Veterinary Surgeon. Albert was listed as a member of the Australian Veterinary Association from 1934-1950, living in Brighton, Victoria. He served on the Veterinary Board of Victoria from 1912-1921. He died on 27 November, 1964.
