Alders, Robyn

She was received the AVA Kesteven Medal in 2002, the first woman to receive this award, for her contribution to international veterinary science through assistance to developing countries in Africa, particularly Mozambique. She has directed projects in several countries that have improved the productivity of rural poultry, mainly by controlling Newcastle disease through the use of locally produced thermostable vaccine.
