Ellis, Patricia

BVSc ( Melb 1968) MVSc (Melb 1973) Prominent internationally and in Australia in general and regulatory horse practice. She specialized in quarantine and international movement of horses while working for the Australian Quarantine Inspection Service. In 1996, she was appointed Principal Veterinary Officer, Horse Industry Programs in the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Victoria. Currently, she is Principal Animal Health Adviser to the Australian Racing Board and Secretary, International Movement of Horses Committee, International Federation of Horseracing Authorities. She was awarded the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists (ACVSc) Prize in 1987.
