Farr, Kathleen Ionie (Mrs Walker)

BVSc (Sydney 1938)  She worked around the world and was in the army for three years during World War II.  In June 2004, at the age of 88, she was one of 25 vets from the north of New South Wales to undertake training in Tamworth to prepare for the biosecurity front line in the event of an emergency animal disease outbreak.  She was received the AVA Meritorious Service Award in 1997 and the Medal of the Order of Australia, June 1999  Citation:  For service to veterinary science, particularly through the Australian Veterinary Association.
