Maddison, Jill

BVSc (Sydney 1978) PhD (Sydney)  Previously, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacology, University of Sydney.  In 2000 she became a Director of the Veterinary Science Foundation, University of Sydney.  First woman to be President of the ASAVA (1993-1994, 2000);  convenor, AVA Adverse Drug Reaction Subcommittee;  member AVA Therapeutics Committee;  President, Small Animal Medicine Chapter, ACVSc;  AVA Meritorious Service Award in 2000.

She has published many refereed papers in veterinary and medical journals and was the senior editor of the book “Small Animal Clinical Pharmacology” published in 2002.  She is currently a clinician and tutor at the Royal Veterinary College and a Fellow at Girton College, Cambridge.  In September 2005 she became the Director of Professional Development and head of the CPD Unit at the RVC. She is co-chair of the Scientific Program Committee for the World Small Animal Veterinary association Congress in 2007.
