Marshall, Kathleen

BVSc (Qld 1968) An active supporter and fund raiser the University of Queensland Veterinary Teaching Hospital and Small Animal Clinic. She was instrumental in founding the Friends of the Veterinary School and played an active role in alumni activities, serving on the Council of the University’s Alumni Association. Her interest in cats and animal welfare led her to take an active role in the Cat Protection Society and soon after she was elected President. In that role, she worked strenuously to improve the welfare of cats in general, and stray cats in particular. She was murdered by an unknown assailant at her home in Brisbane in 1998.
