

BVSc (Sydney 1941) First female veterinarian registered in NSW (and still registered at 89 yrs of age).
Appointed Demonstrator in Veterinary Anatomy a the Sydney school in 1941 then becoming Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Research Affiliate, then Associate Professor in Anatomy in 1982. Conducted research into the breeding cycle of (standard bred) mares in the southern hemisphere which was widely quoted in texts. Retired 1982.
Awarded MVSc honoris causa by Sydney University in 1983. Virginia was a mentor and role model for women students at the Sydney veterinary school.
