

Graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 1950. Worked in practice in Essex, Africa and New Guinea and laboratory practice in Kenya. Came to Australia in 1965 to take up an appointment with the Veterinary Division of the Institute of Medical and veterinary Science, Adelaide, becoming the first woman veterinary graduate on the staff.
Returned to New Guinea in 1967 and then to South Australia in 1975 to work for the SA Department of Agriculture to set up the SA component of the National BTEC campaign as Principal Officer (BTB). Was the first woman veterinary graduate to be employed by the Department. Promoted to Deputy Chief Veterinary Officer in the Department, a position she held until retirement in 1990. Died in June 2000.
