Practitioner in Residence 2007

The Practitioner in Residence contributes to the professional and personal development of veterinary students to facilitate their transition to practice and engender a concept of what it means to be a responsible, contributing member of a service profession.

Applicants require at least 5 years’ experience in small animal or mixed practice and must be currently registered to practice in Victoria.  Applicants must be a current member of the Australian Veterinary Association.

A scholarship of $13,000 (incl. superannuation) will be available for a 10-week period (or 50 days not necessarily consecutive but completed in the first semester) from 5th  Feb 2007 until the 18th  May 2007 (including a 2 week break over Easter), for a visiting practitioner in the Small Animal Section at the Veterinary Hospital, at the Veterinary Clinical Centre at Werribee, Victoria.

Expressions of interest should be received by 20th Oct 2006. Interested applicants will receive an information package and an invitation to submit a written application by COB Fri 3rd Nov 2006. Interviews will be conducted on Thursday 16th Nov 2006.
